Unemployment in Pakistan

The following are the major reasons of unemployment in Pakistan

1. Limited Jobs

The number of graduates increasing day by day and there are not sufficient jobs are available in the market. The Govt must take some concrete steps to increase the number of jobs in the country. The Govt must encourage the small scale industries for job creation. The Govt may also establish different micro finance banks to support the new Graduates for establishing their own businesses.

2. Desired Job

Everyone is interested in job of his choice. This is not technically possible to get your desired job especially if you don’t possess the sufficient job experience. There must be awareness among the society that work is work and every work is important. There must not be any differentiation on work and the work must not be defined as superior or inferior.

3. Low Industry Growth Rate

The industry is the main source is job industry and if a country economy industry is not growing at a required rate it would be very difficult to control unemployment rate. The Govt must adopt a policy to increase the growth in industrial sector and also announce some investment incentive for the industrial sector to bring new investment in this sector. This will improve the employment rate in the country.

4. Lack of Technical Education

The student prefers some field and dislike other, this situation creates pressure on that field and that field becomes saturated for job market. For example most students prefer to go for business studies and number of graduates is increasing day by day in this field. Therefore the market is saturated for business study fields and business Graduates finding it difficult to get jobs now days. There must be proper counseling and guideline center for the student to guide them about their career choices.  The Govt must plan promote awareness among the students that a wrong selection of career will create many problem in future for getting the job.

5. Lack of business Opportunities

It is not technically possible for an economy to provide job to all people in the Country. The student must realize the fact and explore some business opportunities. The Govt must also encourage the graduates to start their own business. The Govt must establish business training center for providing different business related training to the student. The govt must provide credit facilities to the graduates for starting their own business.

7. High Population

The high population rate is also a reason for unemployment. Some religion belief also play important role in the high rate of population. In some cultures the high number of family mebers is considered to be a strength and reason of more social and economic security. The Gov must take concrete steps to control the population in the country. The Govt should aware the people that small family better than large family and should also involve some religious scholar to explain the Islamic belief and its implication in the context of modern world.

8. Low literacy Rate

In some countries people avoid to go to school therefore in the modern age they have very little skill to contribute. The Govt should take concrete steps to improve literacy rate in the country. The Govt must also initiate some programme for the adult education. The Govt must establish training centers for illiterate people to build some skills and also establish some organization and department where those people can work.

9. Education System

The education system in Pakistan is producing graduates which are not required in the market. The Govt should introduce a education policy which is in accordance with the requirement of the country. The Education system must produce the required Graduate and post Graduates. The un required Graduates is not only burden for their family but also on national Economy.

10. Recession in the Economy

The other main reason for unemployment is recession in the economy of Pakistan.  The economy is performing below the desired level then there would not be sufficient job creation. The Govt should adopt the policies to get the desired level of the Growth.
